Giuliana Gregori

Hello and Welcome to My Website.

I am London based Italian Illustrator with a strong interest in picture books and visual storytelling.

I grew up in north east Italy where, as far as I can remember, I have always enjoyed drawing and where I gained my first degree in Illustration.

The desire to try a new adventure brought me to London, where I have been living now for nearly 20 years and where I pursued further my studies, gaining an MA at Kingston University in 2004.

After a number of years working on commercial briefs, I felt the need to go back to drawing and experiment again, in order to further develop my visual language as an Illustrator and have the opportunity to focus on my writing skills as well, to create my own stories. This led me to undertake the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, which I have completed in 2017 and which has proved a great opportunity to refine my artistic research, as well as to reinforce my love for drawing.

The same year, my MA  final project, ‘Princess the pampered pug’, was highly commended at the Macmillan Children's book prize and also won the Beginning Middle and End competition with SCBWI.
